Folio 83: Garmers to Williamson. Refers to 'pacquet' addressed to Williamson containing material in support of Hamburg's claim to same concessions as those granted to Danzig; asks that this be recommended to Nicholas's sympathetic consideration as also that, with regard to fishing [in English waters], favour be shown to Scandic company 'qui est entre nostres murailles'. His masters [i.e. Hamburg senate] will not fail to show their appreciation of Williamson's services. French resident threw great party in honour of dauphin; queen Christin of Sweden and most diplomatic representatives accredited to Hamburg senate attended, but there was none from England [since none had been appointed]; hopes to see one soon. Asks if Beuckell, too, had received some present from King, and if so, what; wishes to be remembered to [Sir Charles] Cotterel, master of ceremonies, who may know something about it.
