Description

Folio 159. Joseph Colman, mayor of Great Yarmouth, to the Hon. Roger Townshend, esq., M.P., requesting him and Walpole, their other representative, to apply to the government for 30-40 invalids to be sent to the fort there to prevent it being taken by disaffected persons, and also for 400-500 small arms to be used at the mayor's discretion for quelling disturbances.
