Folio 150. Sir John Cope, at Berwick on Tweed, to the marquis of Tweeddale, informing him that an Admiralty order had been received there for the captains of the Ursula, an armed vessel off Berwick, and the Fox, a man of war stationed in the Firth of Forth, to detain 3 privateers that had sailed from Dunkirk with arms and ammunition for the rebels in Scotland. However, the pilots had been unable to reach the ships with the messages, due to stormy weather. Gives latest intelligences received from Edinburgh of the rebels and encloses the Caledonian Mercury.
