Newcastle to the mayor of London, urging him to exert his authority to preserve public peace, security and the proprieties of the Protestant religion in the city; in the light of accounts received that the Pretender's eldest son is marching towards Perthor Edinburgh with a traitorously assembled army, backed by foreign powers and resisting attempts by the army to stop them.
