Folio 122. G. Vaughan to Anon, informing him that he had searched the home of Saunders, a papist, together with the high constable and his deputy, but had found nothing suspicious; and enclosing copy of a letter [missing] from the Privy Council to the J.P.s dated Feb. 1743, with instructions for the vigorous supression of papists, in case it may be relevant to present circumstances.
