Folio 73. [Newcastle], from Whitehall, to Major General Hunter. Acknowledges the receipt of his letter and his address. The troops are to remain in Jamaica for six months. The order for the last despatch of provisions has been countermanded but if they should arrive they are to be sold and the money reserved for the public service. He hopes that Tador's murderers may be brought to justice. Steps must be taken to prevent Popish missionaries arriving in Jamaica (See Vol. 24 fos. 78-84). Draft.
