Lowe to Quarles. Contents of letter of 6 November [missing] mainly financial. Since then has received Quarles's cloths and all tallies with the invoices except for one item charged at £19 instead of £9. Trade very bad - on two show days has sold only 10 cloths - details. His usual customers show little interest. They desire long cloths, which Quarles has never provided - Lowe loses many sales thereby. Advises Quarles what to buy and send out. Wares still very expensive in Stade. Exchange rate. Dated at Stade [near Hamburg].
