Further documents concerning legal proceedings in the Hamilton case (ff.153-157) [cf. ff.130, 138-141, 143]: (i) Extract from the act book of the lords of council and session. Elizabeth Inglis and Abraham Stewart appeared by their procurator Mr Lewis (Lues) Stewart, and agreed to accept the defenders' oaths of verity where documentation was unavailable. Since the defenders, although 'oftymes' summoned, have still not appeared, the lords have assigned 13 February for a further hearing.
