Documents concerning legal proceedings: Hugh Halcro against George Millar. (ff 110-114): (i) Extract from the act book of the lords of council and session. Details of the charges are repeated. The pursuer appeared by Alexander Peebles his procurator, butthe defender, although summoned, was again absent. Since the pursuer has agreed to accept the defender's oath of verity, the lords have assigned 8 March for both to appear. If Millar again defaults, judgment will be given against him. [Signed]: Joannes Skene. [Followed by] (ii) Note [in different hand]: Decree given against the defender. [Endorsed, in two different hands]: Names of parties to the suit.
