John Viccars, servant to Samuel Burnet, merchant, burgess of Edinburgh, has not received the following amounts owing to him for 'aell and drink' up to 10 October 1606: From Alexander Fairlie of Braid: £110. 16s. 8d. From Frances, relict of 'Ewstachius' Roothe: £119. 16s. 8d. From Robert Hog, baillie of the Potterrow, and 'Geillis' his wife: £66. From John Young of Duddingston: £37. 10s. The sheriff is to summon all the alleged debtors to appear before the lords of council and session on 10 ['July' crossed through] June. [Signed]: James. Jo. Ainslie. 'Tertio Junij 1607'Seal.
