Documents concerning legal proceedings: Archibald Inglis and others against Robert Lumsden. (ff. 81-84): (i) Extract from the act book of the lords of council and session. Details of the foregoing suit are repeated. The pursuer appeared by Master Thomas Mawer his procurator, but the defenders, although repeatedly summoned, have not attended the court. The lords have assigned 6 November for a further hearing. The pursuer is to have letters to summon witnesses, and is to produce relevant documents. The defenders are to be summoned to attend to hear the depositions. [Signed]: Joannes Skene. Edinburgh, 28 July 1598. (ii) One marginal note, and several at the foot [in different hands], ? assigning further dates for hearings. [Endorsed]: Names of chief parties to the suit. 7 March, 23 May, 6 July, 7 November 1599 and 26 January 1600
