(i) Bond for debt of 600 marks owed to Harry Stewart of [? Cragiehall] by Walter Lecky, Alexander his son and John Greerhall. In the event of nonpayment Stewart may distrain on lands in the barony of Leckie. Master Henry [? Balfour] is appointed procurator for the debtors. [Signed by] Walter and Alexander Lecky and several others [? as witnesses or sureties]. [Endorsed]: 1. Note [in same hand as original]; Master Henry [? Balfour] will appear for the signatories. [Signed]: Walter Lecky. Alexander Lecky. [?17] February 1592. (ii) 2. Note [in different hand]: [? Balfour] advocate for Walter Lecky, confirms that he appears for his clients and consents to the registration of the bond. [Signed]. Edinburgh, 12 December 1592. (iii) 3. Note [in third hand]: Stewart appeared personally, and the other parties through their advocates, before the lords of council and session and consented to the registration. [Signed by] Stewart. 4. Fragment [illegible]. [Whole document dirty and torn]. 12 December 1592
