Case of Robert ap Gwyllim and Eleanor his wife of Llangarren, Heref., plaintiffs, and Edward Maynston of Heref., defendant. Bill of plaintiffs to the Council in the Marches. Defendant began suit in court of 'Tryradowe', Heref. concerning houses and lands in lordship of Irchenfield, Heref. against his mother Joan [see f.10 where called Jane] Maynston before John Scudamore, steward there, his master. Although plaintiffs, who claim interest in premises, gained two orders from the Council in the Marches to stay proceedings, Rees Cox, lieutenant there, proceeded with trial.
