Depositions on behalf of plaintiff, taken before Rees ap Gwyllim and Richard Blike, esqs. on instructions from the Council in the Marches. a) Watkyn ap Moris of Cefnllys, yeoman. Saw some of defendants driving off plaintiff's cattle, and David ap Henry lying injured. Plaintiff's son Stephen and his servant David ap Henry were committed to ward by James Price. Signed by Rees ap Gwyllim, Richard Blike. Followed by: Four names, with weapon(s) which each man had. b) Edward ap Meredith of Cefnllys. Saw two of servants of James Price standing before oxen and ordering plaintiff's servants to depart. Witness parted them and charged Price's servants to keep peace. c) James ap [?Rees] of Llandegley, Rad. Was ploughing 'about a bowshot' away when saw two defendants standing before plaintiff's oxen. Rees ap Rees charged witness and others to keep the peace and arrested plaintiff and his servants.
