William Phelip Jones and JamesPrise, esq., Thomas Lewes, esq., John Prise, Lewis ap Jevan Dee [? David], Richard Prise [throughout case usually styled Rees ap Rees] and Meredith Watkyn, six of defendants, appeared before the Council in the Marches. First two defendants accused of affray against plaintiff and his sons and servants, who are counter-accused of abusing constable of hundred of Cefnllys, Rad., who attempted to keep the peace. Plaintiff and first two defendants dismissed with costs. As to title to lands mentioned in bill, both parties to appear again 4 November next. Signed by James Croft, R[?o]. Townshend. Dated at Ludlow.
