Letter from John Bassett to the Council in the Marches. Six names of parishioners ofLlanelwedd and number of cattle illegally detained by each. Endorsements (very dirty and faded): 1. dated Ludlow 8 July 1550. Rees ap Gwyllim, plaintiff, appeared and two defendants [see f.17 v]. Parties to appear 20 October in Court of Augmentations. 2. (Another hand). Notes that letter was received by hands of Rees ap Gwyllim 4 July 1550. 3. (Original hand) Order for costs of [?£5] to defendants. Signed by James Croft, Ro. Townshend.
