Letter from John Bassett to the Council in the Marches. Following complaint by Davidap Rees 'Duy', Howell Goch, Llewellyn ap Morice and Rees 'Dio Duy', parishioners of Llanfaredd, Council [in Marches] ordered Rees ap Gwyllim to call before him both parties in suit over ten oxen. Writer required ap Gwyllim to seize oxen, but parishioners refuse to deliver them. (In different hand). Commendations. Endorsements: to 'the right honourable my singular good Lords and especial good masters in King's majesty's Council in the marches of Wales'. (Another hand) notes that letter was received 22 November 1549.
