Answer of David ap Rees Dee and Howell Goch of Llanfaredd to bill of Rees ap Gwyllim. Ten oxen concerned were brought about six years earlier to provide funds to repair parish church. Since profits were insufficient, about 'May last was 12 months' defendants delivered eight of the oxen to (named) parishioners, keeping two for themselves. Endorsement: dated Ludlow 30 November 1550 [? sic. 1549]. Representatives of parties in various suits [see ff.1-8] appeared. All relevant documents to be sent to the Court of Augmentations, where parties are to appear 10 February.
