Answer of Edward ap Meredith, Robert ap David, John ap Jevan Lloyd, Jevan ap Jevan, Jevan ap Gruf and Harry ap Hoell ap Jevan, parishioners of Llanelwedd, to bill of Rees ap Gwyllim. Since profits of cattle proved insufficient to support a priest, about 'May last was 12 months', i.e. before survey of chantries, defendants sold them and divided proceeds among themselves. Endorsement notes that answer was received 6 December.
