From the Abbé de Beliard at ?Charelois to Kerguelen at Saumur: Kerguelen' letter [pacquet] arrived in time to be taken to the Marquis de Castries by the Duc de Guines; since taking office the marquis could scarcely find any ships in French ports, as they had all been gathered in Cadiz to no useful purpose. The abbé would rather see the minister face to face before communicating to him Kerguelen's [previous] letter. Envelope franked AMBOISE with red wax seal
