Orders and payments made in connection with the three months assessment commencing 24 June 1660, of which Sir Thomas Player, Chamberlain of the City of London, is Receiver-general: Warrant from The Queen, Henrietta Maria, to the Earl of St.Albans to receive £20,000 granted her by Parliament. Appointment by St.Albans of Edward Backwell to receive the said money; Whitehall; 17 July 1660. [p.7] In Calendar of State Papers, Domestic, Charles II, Addenda, 1660-1685. Sign Manual.
