The Admiralty judges to the Council of State. Concerning the petition of Captain John Green, who sailed in December 1651 in the Warspite, Henry Greene, commander, and took a prize, the Blue Angel: which prize, with John Green and his companions, was thentaken by the Dutch ship Lion, Cornelius Hollar, master, who detained them several weeks in prison. Captain Green, on their release, was compelled to pay for their diets in captivity, besides the loss of the prize. Dutch complaints against the English will be enquired into but two only are so far registered. Annexing: Copy of an Admiralty Court declaration concerning the exhibiting of complaints against English vessels sailing with letters of Reprisal. Dated at Doctors' Commons.
