Description

Hoo Papers: Thomas Hoo to his father, Richard Hoo: has changed his house and has now sent for his wife and children; will follow his book and other honest trades; is unsuited for travel which the country trade required, bringing him £40 p.a., but his new life is less dangerous and his name will become better known; is determined to live for two years `as a dead man' that the malicious tongues which fanned him so ill may be silenced; [1559].
