Lady Dorchester to Richard Newton: any loss of land caused by the enclosure of a park at Bentley will be made up through reduction of his rents, if willingly accepted: if he resists he will be forced to surrender his lease. Copy. [Cf. Vol.77 f14d]. 12 Nov. 1633. Endorsed: Lady Dorchester to Robert Hayward: to fell timber to enclose a park at Bentley, and to compute the loss sustained by Newton and other tenants.
