John Johnson to Henry Garbrand (London): is sorry to hear of the capture of his hulks by the Frenchmen: is unable to provide him with £300 as he desires, because of his many burdens, butwill pay him what he owes in Flemish money on the 1st November, and lend him as much then or a month or two later. Hopes to have the Spanish wines as soon as possible; will provide shipping for it if Michel Mulier cannot; wine at Lynne: to tell him if he may ask Mulier to provide iron, pitch, sugar etc. for Lynne; Glapthorne; 11 Sept. 1551; Copy.
