Otwell Johnson to John Johnson (Glapthorne): Mr. Wade has delivered Mr. Brudenell's letter to the Lord Protector, concerning a `foolishness about the mass and sacraments'; the Council will reply later, but the Lord Protector commended his and Mr. Brudenell'swisdom in dealing with the matter; a payment: sends £20, half in gold and half in white money: the exchange continues to rise: arrangements for shipping grain to Henry Garbrand; London; 22 May 1548.
