Otwell Johnson to John Johnson: has delivered his letter to Lady Cromwell who promised to send to her brother the Lord Admiral; no answer is yet received: Jacop Stevinzon and Dirike Franz Goile have received letters from the Mayor and Company which contented them: their secret suit for the continuance of the old Intercourse was also successful: the Mayor and Company have been informed by the Lord Great Master on behalf of the Council that they may make an agreement with the merchants but the Intercourse cannot be altered. Jacop Stevinzon desires John Johnson to send particulars of the barley and malt he has shipped for him; London; 10 Apr. 1548.
