Thomas Gresley and Richard Bagot to the lords of the Council: John Clarke of Burton upon Trent has suffered for revealing undutiful speeches of Robert Gower, steward of the late Lord Paget; he has lost his tenancy of the 'Walke mills' belonging to his clothing trade and forced to remove furnaces and woad vats. Ask him to be reinstated when the mills come to the Queen's hands; Burton; 12 May 1584
