Henry Fanshawe to Gerrarde, Attorney General: Butler's nisi prius in Lancashire prosecuted by Partriche; encloses fo. 5. To signify his order for counsel for the Queen at the trial London; 15 July 1559; with memorandum from Gerrard to [Fanshawe]: The suit removed from the Exchequer because of delays. Counsel will be George Brown, the Queen's attorney at Lancaster, and Sergeant Carus, vice-chancellor there. Procedure to be followed if the verdict against the Crown; Ware; 18 July 1559
