Description

John Mershe to Mr. Hanbye: surveying Kildesbye is a long task. To the old account, which he sends, should be added 3s. 4d. for Richard Hobbes's cottage. Sir Richard Catesbye was always allowed 20s. fee as steward at courts in the bishop's time; he now lives near the manor and quietens the tenants; Kyldesbye; 1 Nov. [Temp. Edw. VI].
