Sir Horatio Palavicino to Sir Robert Cecill: no letters from Brussels for Verdiani; the Fugger loan to the Cardinal for the land army and river craft for an attempt against the Zeelanders on Isle of Tergus. Naples levies go to Spain to serve in Adelantado's fleet; many Spanish soldiers sick. Frederico Spirola has gone to Spain to prepare galleys for the Ocean Sea. The Estates of Holland are pledged to the Queen to pay Palavicino's debt; 19 Apr.1597; Italian.
