Description

Proceedings against vagabonds and masterless people in Essex, 1571-1572 [probably from the papers of Thomas Fanshawe] (ff 84-130): Return of Vagabonds for Ilford, Berking, Walcamstowe, Woodford, Little Ilford and Dagenham (individuals named); Leyton, Westham, Langethorne, Eastham and Wansted all well. Little Ilford includes a reference to Thomas Norwaye, cook of the queen's ship Victorie; 15 Jan. 1572.
