[1572]: Departure of Marc Antonio Colonna for Spain; the Pope exhorts the League, notwithstanding the mediation of the bishop of Aix who has returned from Ragusa to Constantinople; Don John of Austria prepares galleys. News from Paris, 11 Jan. [1573]: The legate's departure; movements of the Duke of Nevers, the King of Navarre and the Prince of Condé; artillery remains at Chatillero as the weather stops its conveyance to Rochell. Cdl. of Lorraine's reputed conference with the Duke of Savoy about the Swiss Cantons; the Spaniards are repulsed at Harlem, where Captain Julian who served King Edward was wounded.
