Description

These papers were originally catalogued under more than one subject heading. Those headings, and details of these items, are as follows:

ENGLAND AND WALES: Customs: Petitions by Robert Lisley; addressed to Treasury and Customs, asking to be absolved from a bond to cover export of coals to New York. The receiving merchant has not sent a certificate and has gone bankrupt. Covering letter from Mr Ward.

NORTH AMERICA: Provisions: Petitions by Robert Lisle concerning failure of recipient firm to provide certificate for arrival of coals in America
