Thomas de Mareys to have custody of the manors of Basing, Chawton, Lydeschete, and Warnford, and all other lands of John de Sancto Johanne, late lord of Basing, in Hants, Sussex, Cambridge, Kent, Herts, and Warwick, according to a grant by him, having aswages twelve pence daily, four pounds and a coat or twenty shillings yearly, and litter and half a bushel of oats daily for two horses, for which the said lands were made security. (The inquisition for Hants only is annexed.) Hants. 3 Edw III.
