Title
Schomberg House, 77-78 Pall Mall
Date
1862-1929
Administrative / biographical background

The Marquess of Ailesbury leased the property at 77-78 Pall Mall in 1862. It was purchased by the Office of Works in 1900 and subsequently became a grace-and-favour royal residence known as De Vesci House. In 1906, it was renamed Schomberg House. Confusingly, the the nearby 80-82 Pall Mall has also been called Schomberg House. These drawings show numbers 77-78, not numbers 80-82.
