Description

Short title: Brownyng v The prior of St John of Jerusalem In England.

Plaintiffs: John Brownyng and Agnes, his wife, Robert Boote and Emma, his wife, and John Croftes and Jane, his wife.

Defendants: The prior of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem in England, Edward Halys, steward of the prior's manor of Hackney, and John Nychill.

Subject: A cottageand land in the manor of Hackney, late of John, son of Thomas Childmell, father of the said Agnes, Emma, and Jane, taken into the lord's hand contrary to custom.
