Folio 267: Guionneau, commander at Deshayes, to Abaud. Reports how an English frigate pursued a Spanish schooner and sent a long-boat to capture the crew. The crew tried to escape by coming ashore in their dinghy. They were pursued on land but escaped into thickets. The English took the dinghy and had left by the time Guionneau arrived with a small detachment.
Date and place: 1778 Nov 4 Deshayes.
