Folio 266: Gilbert du Lion, commander at Port Louis, to Arbaud. He reports the arrival of a Congress privateer bringing in the brigantine [Rainbow]. He lists the cargo, has taken steps to prevent it being taken ashore but it would be of great benefit to the inhabitants, if the cargo could be sold.
Date and place: 1778 Oct 26 Port Louis.
