Folio 198: Stormont to Weymouth. Folios 166, 168, 173, 188 and a recent report, that orders are to be sent that all ships at Brest are to be armed, all point to an immediate rupture with Britain. Public funds have fallen, in particular India stock. He discussed theattitude he should take until precise orders are received from the King.
