Folio 175: Weymouth to Stormont. He refers to the letter from the passenger on the Koulican [f.163], the contents of which had been given to him by Noailles, who warned that the seizing of French ships could start war. Weymouth had replied that repeated requests tothe French authorities to stop the sending of supplies to the rebels had failed. If the ship was not carrying supplies for them, proper compensation would be paid. He encloses ff.178, 179, 182 also letter from Gayton about French subjects `continuing their piracies' in the West Indies. He refers to the capture of a rebel privateer by the Racehorse.
