Folio 68: Stormont to Weymouth. He will make the representations as requested but they will have no effect on the ministers, who are united in their plan to do as much damage to Britain as possible in secret, while veiling their plans by professions of friendship.Liege has begun loading and put 2 captains on the Jamaican ships. He found them stripped of everything movable. He told Liege not to protest at minor charges but to do so strongly at the major ones, which should fall on the Americans. He encloses ff.70a, 71 from Barton and f.70 to Vergennes.
