Folio 100: Stormont to Vergennes. He gives examples [received from Barton] about the way his orders are evaded in Bordeaux by American rebel ships. They concern the Seabrooke and the Industrie. Several French ships are being equipped to take supplies to the rebels,sailing with false clearance letters. He complains of events in St. Lucia and encloses copies of ff. 74, 76, 77 concerning the Champion, the Jason and the Rebecca.
Date and place: 1777 Sept 24 Paris.
