Folio 70: Weymouth to Stormont. In view of the sending of reinforcements to the West Indies by France, Britain will commission 6 more ships of the line, named here. He is to inform the French ministers and say that it may be expedient to send a squadron to the West Indies, that no hostile intentions are behind the measures, that France's professions of peace are accepted as sincere and that Britain expects her recent regulations concerning the rebels to be strictly observed. It is also expected that France will convoy her troops with frigates only and send no more ships of the line to the West Indies. Cunningham has arrived at Ferrol, where he is being allowed to refit.
