Folio 247: Stormont to Weymouth. 8 battalions are certainly going to Brest to work on fortifications. 12 more are to follow, though he has doubts about these. The cost of this work will be 2½ million livres. Estaing owes his promotion to the duchesse de Civrac and her son, junior aide to the king. Cardinal Roche-Aymont is very ill. Louis de Rohan will succeed as grand aum"nier. The abbaye of St Germain will be kept for the abbé Bourbon, natural son of the late king. The Feuille des Bénéfices will go to the bishop of Autun (Marboeuf).
