Folio 235: Stormont to Weymouth. Intelligence from secret channels. A monsieur Rochette from Pimlico and a French officer are spies for Noailles. An English engineer living at Dieppe called Mante is a spy for France. A merchant navy officer calling himself Smith, who came with lord Charles Montagu, often sees Franklin. He suspects that Franklin has occasional correspondence with Shelburne, lord Camden, Thomas Walpole, messers Samuel Wharton of Lisle street and Williams of Queen street, Cheapside. Fictitious names used by the above are given. Doctors Lee and Bancroft have come to Paris. He mentions Garnier's contacts.
