Folio 220: Stormont to Weymouth. Conflicting reports that Deane is going to Spain and Lee to Holland or the other way round. The Reprisal is cruising between Belle-Isle and Nantes. A ship laden with munitions is preparing to sail from Nantes. The best policy is to intercept French or American ships off the American coast.
Date and place: 1777 Feb 12 Paris.
