Folio 216: Stormont to Weymouth. Broglie is in communication with Congress, having intimated that he was authorised not by the ministers but by the court. [see f.145]. The king is exasperated. Could Weymouth get hold of the correspondence? Maurepas has no intentionof recalling either Aiguillon or Bernis.
