Folio 164: Stormont to Weymouth. Choiseul has secret talks with Franklin and Deane. At one, Belgioso was present. Deane has also met Sartine at the house of Le Noir, chief of police. It is possible that Maurepas might offer Britain any assistance she wants in shipsand men to reduce the rebels, if Britain will restore Canada to France.
