Description

Folio 330: From François Simar de Monteil, chevalier de l'ordre royal et militaire de St. Louis, brigadier des `frigattes', stationed on the French islands. He claims the schooner Caroline, taken at the entrance to Molé St. Nicholas, a mile off shore.

Date and place: 1776 Sept 17 on La Renommé Jamaica.
